I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Despite being at the front of a busy road, the rooms were clean, and the spa area was bigger than most in Düsseldorf. The staff didn't hesitate to make a room available for us in a short time frame, but they were a bit unfriendly and referred us to their own pricey restaurant. The location, close to Duisburg's shopping area and the train station, was a big plus. The dining experience was basic, offering a northern European assortment of breads and cold cuts primarily. The facilities were decent, with a good spa area and clean rooms.
The hotel offers spacious rooms at a higher cost, with an excellent bed and strong free WiFi. The nicely designed bathroom was clean and comfortable, providing everything needed for a one-night stay. However, the room's location under the stairs in the reception/lounge near the main door could be a safety concern for children.
